A delegation of leading academicians from the National University of Singapore (NUS) last week held talks with officials from the Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the region’s first specialized academic institute for real estate studies.

The NUS delegation examined the most optimal methods for setting up joint initiatives to provide the highest standards of education provided by a distinguished world-class faculty. The two organisations are close to finalising a graduate degree in real estate, organising academic field visits by NUS graduate students to Dubai, future joint programmes and research on real estate issues in the Middle East.

The exchange of international expertise with these prominent academic institutions is crucial for developing its resource wealth and customizing the relevance of its course offerings to the regional and international marketplace. DREI was launched to address the rapid growth witnessed by the real estate sector in the UAE, and the region as a whole. DREI potential partners include among others the University of Reading, UK and Cape Town University, South Africa.

DREI is committed to deliver the most comprehensive and world class real estate education in the region, by forging strategic partnerships and building relations with top-ranking international universities.
