The Avenues set to be Kuwait’s largest commercial development
$2 billion project is Mabanee’s first landmark venture to be completed in four phases by 2010
The Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, has launched the first phase of The Avenues, the master development being developed by Mabanee, Kuwait’s premier real estate developer. The Avenues is the first major project conceived and developed by Mabanee. The landmark project will be opened in four phases involving an overall investment of $2 billion and is set to be Kuwait’s largest shopping, leisure and business destination when completed in 2010.

Mohammed Abdulaziz Alshaya, Chairman, Mabanee and M.H. Alshaya Company, said, “The Avenues will not only emerge as one of Kuwait’s premier leisure and shopping destinations and redefine retailing in the region, but will provide a boost to the economy and prestige of Kuwait. The project is being developed in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. We are delighted to be able to play a role in making this vision come to fruition. Mabanee’s goal is to contribute to the country’s overall development”.

The mall’s design comes from world-renowned architects Norr Consultants International, a firm that has built some of the most distinctive real estate projects in the Middle East, including the Emirates Towers in Dubai. The mall itself will be a dazzling addition to Kuwait’s retail landscape. Designed to reflect the natural forms and elements of the desert and using the maximum natural light, The Avenues will set new standards in contemporary architecture.
